Tour Plan

Day 1 – Welcome to Lagos!

Welcome to beautiful Lagos. We are so excited to be able to show you this jewel in the Algarve! You will love this city, it just never gets boring!

Meeting Time:

Let us try to meet until 5-6 PM so that we still have time to check in comfortably and go for dinner all together. We will talk about the upcoming week and get to know each other.

NOTE: Since we are working with nature, the following trip plans might change depending on what the weather does.

Day 2 – Let’s go Surfing!

West Coast

During the summer months, the majority of our surfing adventures
unfold within the pristine natural park on the West Coast, offering the
perfect setting for most of our lessons.

Occasionally, though, we’re in for a special treat: the southeast swell, fondly known as ‘levante’ by the locals, graces us with warmer waters and an exciting opportunity to ride the waves on the south coast as well.

Evenings are free!

This way, everybody has some freedom to choose what he/she prefers to do. Some people might want to dine out every night, some others prefer cooking.

Day 3 – More surfing!

Good morning Surfers!

The second day will be dedicated to more surfing, as we have just described it! Time to get those reps in, don’t forget your sunscreen!

City Tour

This afternoon, join us for a captivating historical city tour! Kayo will be taking you through every corner of the Old Town and sharing intriguing tales and insights most visitors don’t know.

Day 4 – Lagos from above

Lagos is never boring

After spending two full days in the ocean, we might find our arms in need of a well-deserved rest day. Perfect for another highlight. You will be able to fly over Lagos in a private airplane! In the afternoon, we’ll finally have some time to relax at the close by beaches. It is absolutely beautiful to see how the cliffs circle around the golden sand.

Sunset walk

Finally, let’s embark on an approximately one-hour coastal walk along the stunning cliffs to our ultimate destination, where we’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the ocean. Let us also pack a picnic and soak in the incredible sunset vibes!

Day 5 – Graduation day

Bachelors in Surfing

Ready for the Olympics! Remember all the movements from the last practice? We are excited to see your progress and also share the pictures with you! You look pretty cool with that surfboard under your arms!

Time to celebrate!

The vibrant nightlife in Lagos is definitely not to miss! You deserve a
drink for sure after all that surfing! So why not today, hop into our
dancing clothes, and let’s explore Lagos’ party scene! We will lead you
to the best bars and will surely have a super fun night!

Day 6 – Kayaking and Sagres

Kayaking through Ponta da Piedade

Last, but definitely not least, another highlight is waiting for us! We will
kayak along the cliffs & caves of Ponta da Piedade and enjoy the views. There will be a stop at a small beach where we can rest for a bit, have a snack, and jump in the ocean.

Sagres – The end of the world!

Let’s hit the most southwestern point of mainland Europe! The cape of Saint Vincent is one of Europe’s most breathtaking destinations and one of the best sunset spots in the world.

Day 7 – Time to say goodbye!

Every good thing comes to an end! We will help you with the check-out, and then it’s time to go on our separate ways again! At least for now, maybe we will see each other in another Adventour!

Check-out time is usually around 11-12 AM.

Feel free to enjoy the Algarve a couple of days more and ask us for some insider tips! Lagos is definitely worth staying for a bit longer 😉

Location

Lagos: Portugal’s Premier Surf Town

One of Portugal’s most charming seaside towns, Lagos is the perfect headquarters for any surfer seeking great waves and a variety of activities when not in the water. This vibrant city is full of color, history, and delicious food.

Surfing in Lagos

Located on the sheltered south coast, Lagos doesn’t get waves as frequently as other spots, but it’s still surfable. Winter brings bigger swells that wrap around the Cape of Good Hope in Sagres, reaching the south coast. Summertime features the Levante or Sueste swells, which originate in Morocco, bringing nice waves, and warmer water.

When there are no waves in Lagos itself, you’re only a 20-30 minute drive from the west coast and its many options. The western Algarve is one of the best areas in Europe for surfing, known for its pleasant weather and variety of spots for surfers of all levels.

More Than Just Surfing

Traveling to other surf towns made me appreciate home even more. Some places might have great waves, but what do you do when you’re not surfing? In Lagos, that’s never a problem. You can go kayaking, snorkeling, kite/windsurfing, wakeboarding, hiking, and biking, just to name a few.

If you’re looking to relax, take a stroll through the city’s cobblestone streets, lined with numerous restaurants, shops, and historic monuments. Speaking of history, Lagos is one of Portugal’s most significant cities. Over 500 years ago, many ships set sail from here to the New World.

Makes you think about what you’d hear if only the city walls could talk!
